3D FIT Respirator Sizing is not a respiratory protection fit test. Sizing measures your face and recommends a respirator size.
Fit testing is a regulated procedure under U.S. occupational safety standards (and other regulatory authorities outside the U.S.), designed to evaluate the fit between a specific respirator and an individual's face. This process is required to be conducted annually in the workplace to ensure proper fit and compliance with applicable regulations.
“What standards does 3D FIT Respirator Sizing use to determine what size face I have?"
3D FIT Sizing uses US CDC/NIOSH bivariate measurements indicated in numerous peer-reviewed and published studies.
“Do I need to be clean-shaven for 3D FIT Sizing?”
We recommend that the user be completely clean shaven.
